From sculptures to nails . . .

 

If you asked family and friends to describe our Founder, you’d likely get a variety of responses including “the life and soul of the party” to “first one on the dance floor”! Energetic and hardworking, Tracy Jones studied art for a short while at her local college before qualifying as a hairdresser at night school gaining her City and Guild qualification. Looking for work where she could express her love of art and creativity, Tracy landed the perfect job in 1989, hand painting sculptures. 10 years on, the reduced demand for hand finished products in the UK brought an end to a job she had really come to love. Step into 1999 – a new chapter but no less creative.

 

Tracy took a job within the Nail and Beauty industry quickly gaining qualifications in waxing, facials, inch loss programs and nails, realising her newfound artistic passion was actually the Nail Industry. With her ‘can do’ approach and desire to be the best in her field Tracy set about gaining qualifications in Fibreglass, Acrylic, Hard Gel nail systems.

 

In 2013 A Trace of Beauty was born.

 

Establishing a loyal and growing client base Tracy realised that she had outgrown her home based beauty salon and needed a solution that would allow her to grow A Trace of Beauty further. True to her Entrepreneurial mindset she set up The Beauty Hub as a community centred space for other health and beauty businesses to establish themselves alongside her own. To this day The Beauty Hub gives customers a happy and unique sense of community where they can take advantage of multiple beauty specialists services under one roof.

 

In Tracy’s own words, her determination “to set a standard” within the industry comes through in everything A Trace of Beauty set out to deliver - a high quality, professional service putting nail health at the forefront of every client requirement.
