Keeping you safe
We're excited to see you - safely. Thank you for familiarising yourself with our new Covid procedures.
A note to all our wonderful clients.
Below are a few guidelines we have put in place to keep you all as safe as we can and make your returning visits run as smoothly as possible from Before You Book, On Arrival to Your Appointment itself. Please read them carefully.
Unfortunately due to the huge cost implications of implementing these safety measures, particularly disposable PPE, we have been left with no choice but to add a small price increase to every treatment. Typically this ranges from £1-£3. For a full list of updated services and prices click here.
Thank you for taking the time to read these guidelines supporting the safety of our staff and customers alike. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any questions or queries. We’ve missed each and every one of you greatly and cannot wait to welcome you all with open arms (for now with distant hugs).
Tracy and Debby xx
P.s. we hope you enjoy taking a good look around our new website and, as always, welcome your feedback.

Before you Book
PLEASE DO
Only book an appointment for yourself
Bring your own face covering or mask
Only book if you are well and not showing any Covid Symptoms
Have an idea of what you'd like on your nails
PLEASE DON'T
Book an appointment with a friend or family member
Bring any children
Book an appointment if you are showing Covid symptoms
Appointments are on a 1 in 1 out basis, so to those who we have loved having come to us in pairs unfortunately this cannot happen for the foreseeable future. Even if you live in the same household please come separately. There will be no waiting area available in The Beauty Hub or A Trace of Beauty. This is to reduce the risk of breaking the 2 metre social distancing rule and out of respect for other clients and staff within the building.
Unfortunately, and very sadly, we cannot have children in the salon currently. We’ve loved having your babies come in over the years but as we know; they need the toilet and they touch lots of things. To reduce the risk of spreading infection and for the protection of staff and clients alike, we ask that you do not bring your children.
Please attend wearing your own mask or face covering. If you don’t have one we can supply one for you at cost on arrival. We will be wearing our own PPE for your protection too.
Please have in mind, before you arrive, an idea of what you want on your nails. Being time efficient will help us accommodate the extra Covid clean down procedures between clients. Nail art will only be available if booked in advance.
On Arrival
PLEASE DO
Arrive on time
Call us if you are running late
Use the front Beauty Hub entrance only
Stand behind the 2 metre floor markings outside
Keep socially distant from other clients
Follow the signposted procedures
PLEASE DON'T
Arrive early
Use the rear Beauty Hub entrance or parking
Stand at the front door
We cannot let you in until your appointment time. In the past we’ve been able to enjoy a little chit chat before and after your appointments but unfortunately for the foreseeable future this isn’t possible.
Your appointment will have to be cancelled and charged for if you turn up more than 10 minutes late.
The rear Beauty Hub entrance will be kept locked, this will only be used by staff for the foreseeable future.
When you arrive please wait outside the front entrance behind the marked line and follow the signposted arrival procedure. We will come and meet you at your appointment time.

Ensure you have been to a toilet before you arrive
Keep your phone and personal belongings away during treatments
Pay by card or contactless payment
PLEASE DON'T

Please wash your hands with the sanitiser provided at the new cleaning station in the entrance to The Beauty Hub. Dry and put your waste in the bin provided.
Your appointment is with A Trace of Beauty so, due to the current circumstances and the need to adhere to social distancing measures, we request that you don't visit other therapist areas in The Beauty Hub building when you attend.
Please note that to ensure we meet 2 metre social distancing regulations we will be conducting brow treatments in a separate dedicated room upstairs. If you require this treatment but are unable to use stairs, please contact us in advance and we will do everything we can to accommodate your request.
To reduce contact and risk the spread of Covid toilets are out of use unless in emergency.
Unfortunately we will be unable to provide hot drinks during your visit but will make bottled water available.
NO MOBILE PHONES are allowed during your appointment. Phones are a carrier of COVID-19 and cause cross contamination after cleaning your hands on entry. Please leave them in your bag during your appointment. If you use your phone to take down your next appointment you will be able to do this at the end of your appointment.
From now on we will only be taking card payments, and where possible contactless payment to reduce contact for our mutual protection.
To reduce the spread of infection and contact risk we will not be able to write out appointment cards. If you usually require an appointment card please consider using our online booking services or bring a diary for noting the date and time at the end of your appointment.
To ensure no cross contamination between clients we have committed to providing each of you your own 'maintenance kit'. The files and buffing blocks we use on your nails will now be sanitised after use and stored in your own labelled and seal-tight bag.
All desks, equipment and chairs will be cleaned down after each client.
Our gloves and tissues, will be disposed of after each client and we will also be wearing disposable gowns, masks and face shields for your protection and assurance.
There will be hand sanitiser on each desk for your use.
We will see you out after your appointment. Please also wash your hands at the cleaning station as you leave.
